The Concert

The final concert of the Brigadoon Festival will feature Norwood Connection and artists from Melting Pot Theatre presenting music from medieval times to the modern day with an excerpt from Shakespeare's Macbeth and poetry and prose from Scottish writers.

Local classical musicians Anne Morris and Kjell Goyer form Norwood Connection play a variety of musical instruments including violin, lute and guitar. They held a sell out concert in June 2016 at the Methodist Church in Bundanoon.

Anne Morris has been involved with music from a young age, from medieval (while in the Renaissance Players) to world music, jazz, chamber, orchestral and solo playing. Between bouts of professional playing on violin, viola and piano, Anne also worked in education and in the community sector in SA. After academic and consultancy work, taking her from Oodnadatta to the UK, she is delighted to be back in NSW and playing and teaching music in the Southern Highlands.

Kjell Goyer studied renaissance, baroque, classical and modern guitar making with professional luthier Darell Wheeler. He has a masters degree in music as well as a mathematics degree and post grad qualifications in education. KJell has performed in various ensembles in cities and towns in Australia and as a soloist. As a committed teacher he can tailor a course of guitar tuition for students of all ages.

Pat Brennan and Michaela Bolzan are regular performers with Crash Test Theatre, the Bundanoon drama group.

Pat Brennan is a writer/actor who has been the driving force behind Melting Pot Theatre. He has TV credits to his name in both Australia and the US and Gala Final appearances as both actor and playwright in Short+Sweet international. His work has been performed throughout Australia.
