By popular demand, this popular Sydney-based an A Cappella choir makes a return to Music at Ten bringing a lively and engaging programme that is sure to please.
Satsang (meaning 'in good company') grew out of a group singing class in 2001. As an A Cappella choir, they use exclusively their bodies and voices as their instruments. They combine the learning of vocal skills with singing a variety of arrangements – anything with heart – including gospel, folk, classical and pop. Their 'instrument' becomes more flexible to handle all the different genres of music – like artists with a broad palette of colours to choose from! Learning to sing together in this way empowers them, increasing their feeling of involvement while realising that they are making an important artistic contribution.
Studies demonstrate that choral singing promotes not only physical health, but offers emotional and spiritual benefits as well. Singing can boost the immune system and reduce stress, increase energy and confidence while leaving you with a sense of contentedness, expansiveness and joy.
Arts Bundanoon exists to present and encourage the performing arts in Bundanoon and the broader community. Since its inception in 2001, Arts Bundanoon has presented music recitals, concerts and other events of a very high standard to the local communities. It is a sub-group of the Bundanoon Community Association Inc.
